Ethan is a senior at Interlake High School. He has been playing the piano for 10 years and the flute for 9. He has performed in various orchestras and ensembles, including BYSO (3 years), SYSO (4 years, principal flute), the WMEA All-Northwest Orchestra (principal flute), All-State Wind Ensemble, and the Interlochen Intermediate Symphony Orchestra (principal). He placed second in the National Flute Association's High School Soloist Competition in 2026, and also was SYSO 2024 Concerto Competition winner. He loves playing the piano and flute to share joy with others to connect deeply with people and give back to his community through ensemble and outreach performances. In his free time, he enjoys listening to classical music, playing tennis, programming, and reading. One fun fact about him is that he loves foxes.

Olivia is a senior at Interlake High School and a cello player. She has been playing the cello for six years and has performed in BYSO (1 year), SYSO (1 year), and the Honors Performance Series Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Volunteering with her quartet is one of her passion and she has about 30 hours of volunteering with her quartet this year. In addition to playing the cello, she fences and will be competing in the nationals this summer. Also, she holds a black belt in taekwondo.

Jinue is a rising junior at Bellevue High School with a deep passion for uplifting his community through music and service. Since the age of six, he has been dedicated to playing the piano, a journey that has led him to perform at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City. He now shares his musical skills with senior citizens by bringing joy and comfort through live performances. He also enjoys working with younger students and making an impact in the community through the activities and events with the other members of Interlake Melodies. Beyond music, Jinue is committed to promoting the health and well-being of youth and fostering stronger community connections through meaningful events and volunteer efforts. He also plays tennis on his high school team. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and spending quality time with his family and friends. Whether through music or service, Jinue is driven by a desire to make a positive impact on those around him.

Jun is a rising junior at Bellevue High School. He studied piano for four years and received an Honorable Mention at the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside (PAFE) in 4th grade. He has also been playing the violin for four years and is currently a member of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO), where he served as principal of the second violin section for one year. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, reading books, and playing video games.

Seohwon (Ted) Yun is a sophomore at Interlake High School and a dedicated musician with a passion for cello and piano. He began playing cello in First Grade and studied piano for nine years. He has earned widespread recognition as both a soloist and chamber musician. His achievements include dual Gold awards at the Pacific NW Piano Competition, Silver in the Bach Festival, second place in the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside (PAFE), multiple Gold Seals at the Seattle Young Artist Music Festival (SYAMF), and Rank I ratings at the WMEA Solo & Ensemble Contest for both solo and piano trio performances. He was also recognized as Best of Festival in the Time Era Festival and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York. Beyond solo competition, Ted is an active ensemble performer, playing with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO), the Pacific Northwest Ballet pit orchestra, the WMEA All-State Youth Orchestra, and a piano trio that placed second in the Music Matters International Music Competition. In addition, Ted is very passionate about sharing his musical knowledge with others. He mentors younger cellists through one-on-one tutoring and enjoys watching them mature and grow as musicians. Outside of music, Ted is deeply involved at school. He serves as a class officer, plays for the boys’ varsity tennis team, and actively participates in debate, robotics, and rocketry.

Braden Hong began playing the violin at age six, demonstrating an early talent and a deep appreciation for the instrument. Raised in a highly musical household, his dedication and passion for music truly flourished through his connection to the violin. Braden currently performs with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, having previously served as assistant concertmaster for the Junior Orchestra. He is also the current concertmaster of the Interlake High School Concert Orchestra. An accomplished young artist, Braden has earned numerous accolades. Most recently, he was awarded the Platinum Medal (First Place) in the senior division of the Korean Music Association (KMA)  competition—a full-circle moment from the fifth grade, when he became the youngest musician in the division to earn a KMA Honorable Mention. His other achievements include multiple first-place finishes at the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside (PAFE), First Prize at the Charleston International Music Competition, and advancing to the playoffs at the Eastside Solo and Ensemble Festival.

Lisa is a rising sophomore at Bellevue High School. She began playing the piano at the age of seven and has been studying it for ten years. In 2023, she received the Grand Prize at a piano competition. She has also played the flute for seven years and was selected as a member of both the 2026–2027 Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO) Flute Orchestra and Youth Symphony Orchestra. Lisa is passionate about using music to serve her community. During the 2025–2026 school year, she volunteered as the pianist for the first-grade choir at Bellevue Korean School. At the 32nd Korean School Choir Festival in 2026, she accompanied the traditional Korean folk song Baennorae ("The Boat Song"), earning the Traditional Culture Award for helping promote Korean cultural heritage. She also performs holiday concerts at local senior living communities, bringing joy and comfort to residents through music. Beyond her volunteer work, Lisa has been active as the flute section leader of her international school's orchestra from 2022 to 2025. She was selected to participate in the 2025 KIMEA Festival Orchestra and received an "Excellent" rating for her performance of Czardas at the 2026 WMEA All-State Solo competition. Outside of music, Lisa is a junior varsity badminton player at Bellevue High School and is also a member of the school's marching band. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, swimming, practicing piano, and spending time with her beloved dog, Hana.

Hailey is a freshman at Bellevue High School. Her musical journey began with the piano, which she played for 4 years. She has also been playing the violin for 7 years and served as concertmaster in her middle school orchestra. Outside of violin, Hailey is on the varsity cheer team at her school and likes to spend time with her friends and family.

Seoyoung (Trinity) Yun (class of 2026, Interlake High School) has been playing piano for eleven years and violin for ten years. She has received medals and trophies from various competitions including the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival, the 9th Annual Rome International Music Competition and the International Chopin Youth Competition, and was a finalist of the Seattle Symphony Concerto Competition. She has also performed in great venues including the Carnegie Hall in New York and the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston, and has played as a concerto soloist with many orchestras, such as the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra, the Mukilteo Orchestra, and the Pacifica Chamber Orchestra. Trinity has been a member of the WMEA  All-State symphony and has also been a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO), and will be returning as an intern for the SYSO Summer Music Camp for the second time this summer. Currently, Trinity is passionate about sharing her musical talent to younger students by tutoring on piano and violin, both at middle schools and in private one-on-one settings. Outside of music, Trinity enjoys reading, traveling, and drawing.

Roy Kang (class of 2028, Bellevue High School) has been playing the clarinet and piano for seven years. From the first moment he played the clarinet, Roy was captivated by its expressive tone and knew it was the perfect instrument for him. For Roy, music is not only a way to express himself but also a powerful means to connect with others and bring joy to his community. Roy has performed with the Bellevue Symphony Orchestra for five years, frequently serving as section leader, and was recently recognized with the 5 Years Award Honoring Commitment from the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO). He enjoys challenging himself through auditions, having been selected as a member of the WMEA Junior All-State Band, where he created memorable performances with other accomplished musicians. He was also chosen to perform at the World International Band Conference (WIBC), collaborating with professional musicians and student players from across the globe. At school, Roy is an enthusiastic member of the Bellevue High School marching band, an experience he considers one of the highlights of his high school journey. Beyond performance, he is passionate about using music as a way to give back—sharing his talents through volunteer service, community concerts, and projects that uplift others. He values building a healthy and supportive community, whether by inspiring younger students, creating moments of joy for audiences, or encouraging his peers through music teamwork and leadership. Outside of music, Roy loves playing tennis as a junior varsity tennis player, and enjoys dancing in his free time.

Lewis (class of 2025, Interlake High School) began playing the oboe in 7th grade and was a member of both the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra in his senior year. He also served as a Student Conductor for the SYSO. He believes that music is a harmonious blend of mind, body, and spirit. He finds that music has greatly contributed to his growth in many aspects of his life, including school and home. Therefore, he always enjoys sharing his music with friends and the community. In his free time, he enjoys marathon training, solving physics and math problems, playing the oboe, composing orchestral music, and spending time with friends.

Inue (class of 2025, Interlake High School) is passionate about technology and music. During his free time, he enjoys creating catchy beats and tunes on FL Studio, working on coding projects, playing video games, playing tennis/table tennis, and spending time with his family. He has played the piano since he was six years old and has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He continues his passion for music through creating his own melodies and tunes.

David (class of 2025, Interlake High School) started playing the Violin in 4th grade and picked up the viola in 10th to perform in a piano quintet. He was a member of Bellevue Youth Symphony's Youth Symphony and has been to NAfME's All-State for both the violin and viola. Outside of music, he enjoys creating short animations and taking photos.

Trinity Lee (class of 2025, Interlake High School) has played viola for 7 years and achieved several significant milestones along the way. In 2023, Trinity secured first place in the solo division for violin-viola at the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside.  Since 2022, she has been selected to play in the All-State and All-Northwest orchestra.  Additionally, her quintet placed first at the 2024 Solo and Ensemble regional competition in the large ensemble division. Beyond competitions, Trinity is deeply committed to spreading her love for music.  Since 2022, she has volunteered for Music 2 Give, teaching younger children to play the viola and passing on her knowledge and passion to the next generation of musicians.

Andrew Yoon (class of 2025, Interlake High School) studied under Ramon Salumbides. He started off as a cellist when he was seven years old, but later found a passion in the Bass. He has participated in the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra for five years. He was accepted into the 2023 NAfME All-NW Orchestra, and also 2024 WMEA All-State Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he is part of the Interlake chamber orchestra which qualified for the American Strings Teacher Association Competition. Besides music, he enjoys listening to music and playing tennis.

William Yoon was a sophomore at Interlake High School in 2024, studying under Dr. Leslie Faye Johnson. He started playing viola when he was eight, and since then has placed in numerous competitions and festivals, such as the Korean Music Association, the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival, and the Performing Arts Festival for the Eastside. He has played with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra for seven years, playing in numerous orchestras. He has also participated in the Jr. All-State Orchestra as the principal violist and as member of the All-State Chamber group. Over the summer, he earned the Merit Scholarship award from the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and was also accepted into the Jacob’s School of Music at Indiana University. He has taken part in many chamber groups, orchestras, and full symphonies. Outside of music, he enjoys debating and playing tennis.
