Seoyoung (Trinity) Yun is a senior at Interlake Senior High School. She has been playing piano for eleven years and violin for ten years. She has received medals and trophies from various competitions including the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival, the 9th Annual Rome International Music Competition and the International Chopin Youth Competition, and was a finalist of the Seattle Symphony Concerto Competition. She has also performed in great venues including the Carnegie Hall in New York and the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston, and has played as a concerto soloist with many orchestras, such as the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra, the Mukilteo Orchestra, and the Pacifica Chamber Orchestra. Trinity has been a member of the WMEA All-State symphony and has also been a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO), and will be returning as an intern for the SYSO Summer Music Camp for the second time this summer. Currently, Trinity is passionate about sharing her musical talent to younger students by tutoring on piano and violin, both at middle schools and in private one-on-one settings. Outside of music, Trinity enjoys reading, traveling, and drawing.

Ethan is a junior at Interlake High School. He has been playing the piano for nine years and the flute for seven. He has performed in orchestras and ensembles, including BYSO (3 years), SYSO (4 years), the WMEA All-Northwest Orchestra, All-State Wind Ensemble, and the Interlochen Intermediate Symphony Orchestra. He has competed in events such as the SYSO Concerto Competition Finals, SYAMF, PAFE, Horsfall, and High School Solo and Ensemble. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, programming, and reading. One fun fact about him is that he loves foxes.

Olivia is a junior at Interlake High School and a cello player. She has been playing the cello for six years and has performed in BYSO (1 year), SYSO (1 year), and the Honors Performance Series Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Volunteering with her quartet is one of her passion and she has about 30 hours of volunteering with her quartet this year. In addition to playing the cello, she fences and will be competing in the nationals this summer. Also, she holds a black belt in taekwondo.

Jun is a rising sophomore at Bellevue High School. He studied piano for four years and received an Honorable Mention at the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside (PAFE) in 4th grade. He has also been playing the violin for four years and is currently a member of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO), where he served as principal of the second violin section for one year. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, reading books, and playing video games.

Jinue is a rising sophomore at Bellevue High School with a deep passion for uplifting his community through music and service. Since the age of six, he has been dedicated to playing the piano, a journey that has led him to perform at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City. He now shares his musical skills with senior citizens by bringing joy and comfort through live performances. He also enjoys working with younger students and making an impact in the community through the activities and events with the other members of Interlake Melodies.
Beyond music, Jinue is committed to promoting the health and well-being of youth and fostering stronger community connections through meaningful events and volunteer efforts. He also plays tennis on his high school team. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and spending quality time with his family and friends. Whether through music or service, Jinue is driven by a desire to make a positive impact on those around him.

Seohwon (Ted) Yun is an 8th grader at Tyee Middle School. He has been playing cello since first grade. He has also been playing piano for nine years. He has received numerous awards through both instruments. He earned Gold in the Pacific NW Piano competition twice and was recognized as Best of Festival in the Time Era Festival. He also received silver in the Bach Festival and honorable mention in PAFE. Ted has also had the opportunity to play at Carnegie Hall in New York. In addition to being a soloist, he is also part of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO) and has participated in the WMEA Junior All-State youth orchestra. Outside of music, Ted is well involved at school. He is the ASB president, as well as the principal cellist of his school’s chamber orchestra. He also enjoys playing tennis, debating, and robotics.

Lewis (class of 2025, Interlake High School) began playing the oboe in 7th grade and was a member of both the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra in his senior year. He also served as a Student Conductor for the SYSO. He believes that music is a harmonious blend of mind, body, and spirit. He finds that music has greatly contributed to his growth in many aspects of his life, including school and home. Therefore, he always enjoys sharing his music with friends and the community. In his free time, he enjoys marathon training, solving physics and math problems, playing the oboe, composing orchestral music, and spending time with friends.

Inue (class of 2025, Interlake High School) is passionate about technology and music. During his free time, he enjoys creating catchy beats and tunes on FL Studio, working on coding projects, playing video games, playing tennis/table tennis, and spending time with his family. He has played the piano since he was six years old and has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He continues his passion for music through creating his own melodies and tunes.

David (class of 2025, Interlake High School) started playing the Violin in 4th grade and picked up the viola in 10th to perform in a piano quintet. He was a member of Bellevue Youth Symphony's Youth Symphony and has been to NAfME's All-State for both the violin and viola. Outside of music, he enjoys creating short animations and taking photos.

Trinity Lee (class of 2025, Interlake High School) has played viola for 7 years and achieved several significant milestones along the way. In 2023, Trinity secured first place in the solo division for violin-viola at the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside. Since 2022, she has been selected to play in the All-State and All-Northwest orchestra. Additionally, her quintet placed first at the 2024 Solo and Ensemble regional competition in the large ensemble division. Beyond competitions, Trinity is deeply committed to spreading her love for music. Since 2022, she has volunteered for Music 2 Give, teaching younger children to play the viola and passing on her knowledge and passion to the next generation of musicians.

Andrew Yoon (class of 2025, Interlake High School) studied under Ramon Salumbides. He started off as a cellist when he was seven years old, but later found a passion in the Bass. He has participated in the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra for five years. He was accepted into the 2023 NAfME All-NW Orchestra, and also 2024 WMEA All-State Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he is part of the Interlake chamber orchestra which qualified for the American Strings Teacher Association Competition. Besides music, he enjoys listening to music and playing tennis.

William Yoon was a sophomore at Interlake High School in 2024, studying under Dr. Leslie Faye Johnson. He started playing viola when he was eight, and since then has placed in numerous competitions and festivals, such as the Korean Music Association, the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival, and the Performing Arts Festival for the Eastside. He has played with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra for seven years, playing in numerous orchestras. He has also participated in the Jr. All-State Orchestra as the principal violist and as member of the All-State Chamber group. Over the summer, he earned the Merit Scholarship award from the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and was also accepted into the Jacob’s School of Music at Indiana University. He has taken part in many chamber groups, orchestras, and full symphonies. Outside of music, he enjoys debating and playing tennis.
